When you have names with numbers in Column A and try typing them in Column B, Excel often suggests using AutoFill, with shadowed numbers appearing in Column B. But, How to apply this suggestion?

I’ve been racking my brains for the past few days trying to figure out how to use AutoFill when Excel suggested applying shadowed numbers like this:

When I typed the second number, the suggestion disappeared.

I’ve been tearing my hair out trying to figure this out. Finally, I ended up finding the solution.

The answer is, you don’t need to type the second number; instead, press Enter when it shows the suggestion for AutoFill.
